bird on branch (day)
This piece is made from a branch of mountain laurel which I debarked and trimmed to bring out its natural, flowing form. The branch is mounted on a disc of weathered plywood which has been painted with acrylic and adorned with a 23K gold leaf sun. It is 27" wide, 25" tall, protrudes 9" from the wall, and has 9 perch points. The price includes the prepared branch and one bird of your choice. Additional birds can be purchased here.

I handcraft the 'birds on branches' series with branches that I find in nature and birds that I make from stone, wood, and clay. Each branch has holes drilled which provide perch points for pins which hold the birds, and mounts securely to the wall with two nails or screws (not included). Click here for more information.
